Our 6m x 5m Roof is a tower based structure with a sloped roof running from front to back to divert rain water away from the front of the stage. Constructed largely from standard Eurotruss HD34 and FD32 truss, this smaller stage has a platform area of approximately 5 by 4m which is constructed from Litedeck at a height of 2', 3'. The stage has a central apex height of approximately 4m falling to approximately 3.5m at the rear of the stage. The roof is built by 2 or 3 crew and raised by hand without the need for plant or site power (assuming vehicle access to within 10m of the build site is possible).
The roof is covered in PVC, with a blackout lining, and the back and sides are covered with a semi- transparent black mesh material, with solid PVC rear and side walls available as an optional extra. The structure and all its components are all fully rated, tested and certified, and the construction is signed off by a Eurotruss trained technician prior to handover. Full method statements and risk assessments are adhered to at all times, and guidance on Temporary Demountable Structures, published by the Institute of Structural Engineers (ISE), is followed at all times.
An anemometer (a device used to measure the speed of the wind) is fitted to the structure when used outdoors to continuously monitor wind speed, with procedures in place to deal with inclement weather in accordance with risk assessments, manufacturer data and ISE guidance.
